Getting Started

To create an account:

  1. Download Digital Daftar from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Open the app and tap "Sign Up"
  3. Enter your email and create a password
  4. Verify your email address
  5. You're ready to start learning!

You can also sign up with Google or Apple for faster registration.

  1. Open the app and go to the Translation tab
  2. Type or paste your Arabic text (or French/English to translate to Arabic)
  3. The AI will instantly provide a context-aware translation with full tashkeel
  4. You'll also see grammatical breakdowns and word-by-word analysis
  5. Tap any word to see detailed information and save it to your vocabulary

There are two ways to save vocabulary:

  1. From Translation: After translating, tap the "Save" button. You can save the entire phrase or tap individual words to save them separately.
  2. From Search: Use the Quran word database search to find words and tap the bookmark icon to save them to your personal vocabulary.

Free users can save up to 100 words. Premium users have unlimited vocabulary storage.

Yes! DigitalDaftar is offline-first:

  • Fully Offline: Your saved vocabulary, previous translations, quizzes, and the Quran word database all work 100% offline
  • Requires Internet: New translation requests need internet to connect to the AI service
  • Auto-Sync: When you're back online, your data automatically syncs across all your devices

DigitalDaftar uses spaced repetition (FSM-2+ algorithm) for optimal learning:

  • Smart Scheduling: Words you struggle with appear more frequently
  • Review Intervals: Words you know well appear at optimal times to reinforce memory
  • Session Types: Choose from new words, due reviews, or mixed sessions
  • Reverse Mode: Practice both Arabic→Translation and Translation→Arabic
  • Progress Tracking: See your accuracy, streak, and mastery levels

A searchable database of 10,000+ words from the Quran with:

  • English and French translations
  • Verb conjugations (past, present, imperative)
  • Noun forms (singular, dual, plural)
  • Part of speech classifications
  • References to Sura and page numbers
  • Example usage from Quranic verses

Search by Arabic text, translation, Sura, or page number. Save any word directly to your vocabulary.

Yes! DigitalDaftar supports English and French:

  • UI Language: Change the app interface language in Settings → Language
  • Translation Language: Set your preferred translation pair (Arabic↔English or Arabic↔French)
  • Independent Settings: UI and translation languages can be set independently

DigitalDaftar focuses exclusively on Modern Standard Arabic (MSA / الفصحى).

MSA is the formal written Arabic used in:

  • The Quran and classical Islamic texts
  • News broadcasts and formal media
  • Literature and academic writing
  • Official documents and formal contexts

MSA is the foundation for understanding all Arabic dialects, making it the best starting point for learners.

Account & Settings

Vocabulary syncs automatically when you're logged in:

  1. Make sure you're logged in with the same account on all devices
  2. Connect to the internet
  3. Your vocabulary will automatically sync in the background
  4. You can force a sync in Settings → Sync Now

Note: Your local data is the source of truth. Syncing happens automatically when online, and offline changes are queued for upload.

  1. On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?"
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Check your email for a password reset link
  4. Click the link and create a new password
  5. Log in with your new password

Warning: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

  1. Go to Settings → Account
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"
  3. Confirm your decision
  4. Your account and all data will be deleted within 30 days

If you have an active subscription, make sure to cancel it first through your App Store or Google Play settings.

The free plan includes:

  • 10 translations per day
  • Up to 100 vocabulary words storage
  • Basic quiz functionality
  • Full Quran word database access

Premium subscription includes:

  • Unlimited translations per day
  • Unlimited vocabulary storage
  • Advanced spaced repetition features
  • Priority customer support
  • All future features included
  • Ad-free experience

Pricing: Monthly ($4.99), Yearly ($49.99 - save 17%), or Lifetime ($129.99)

  1. Open the app and go to Settings
  2. Tap on your subscription card or "Upgrade to Premium"
  3. Choose your plan (Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime)
  4. Complete the purchase through your App Store or Google Play account
  5. Your premium features activate immediately!

Subscriptions are managed through your app store:

For iOS:

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name → Subscriptions
  3. Find DigitalDaftar and tap it
  4. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

For Android:

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Tap Menu → Subscriptions
  3. Find DigitalDaftar and tap it
  4. Tap "Cancel Subscription"

Note: You'll continue to have premium access until the end of your billing period.

Refund policies are set by Apple and Google:

  • iOS: Request a refund directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com
  • Android: Request a refund through Google Play within 48 hours of purchase

Troubleshooting

Try these steps:

  1. Check your internet connection (translations require online access)
  2. Verify you haven't reached your daily limit (free: 10/day, premium: unlimited)
  3. Close and restart the app
  4. Update to the latest version
  5. If the issue persists, contact support
  1. Make sure you're logged in to your account
  2. Check your internet connection
  3. Go to Settings → Sync Now to force a manual sync
  4. If using multiple devices, make sure you're logged in with the same account on all devices
  5. Try logging out and logging back in
  1. Force close the app and restart it
  2. Restart your device
  3. Make sure you have the latest version installed
  4. Clear the app cache in Settings → Storage
